I shared this message with all of our Hancock Lumber employees, and I wanted to share it with you as well. Thank you!
Hello everyone! Tuesday, of course, is election day. Ahead of that day I want to share the following thoughts with you:
- Don’t let the day be stressful, it’s an amazing gift we have to live in a free society!
- Show grace regardless of the outcome. Half of all Americans won’t love the outcome, whoever wins. Even though it doesn’t look graceful on TV – we can all show grace if our candidate choice wins or doesn’t.
- You can trust the voting process. Disappointing to me, former President Trump, is already saying that there are only two possible outcomes. #1 – he wins. #2 – “they” cheated. That’s a terrible thing to say in my view. You can 100% trust the election results. The election is not a nationally run event. It’s local. Every town collects its own votes. The system is the best, most accurate, and securest voting system in the history of humans.
- Everything will be ok either way. What happens in your house will always be more important than what happens in the White House.
- This country is led by dispersed power. The power lives in what we do locally and together we can transcend anything that’s happening politically.
I hope everyone in our company votes! It’s a right and responsibility that most humans across time have not enjoyed.
